The National Wrestling Advancement Association (NWAA) is committed to advancing the sport of wrestling by way of supporting wrestlers on and off the mat through its premier wrestling sport/life integration program, "WREST" Wrestling Reflection Education Skills Training. Dennis Hall & Jon McGovern both former USA National Team members and current coaches feel there is a need for advancing wrestlers successfully through the seasons of life and in wrestling.
The NWAA is the first sport sub-orgnization of the National Association for the Advancement of Athletes (NAAA). The ambitious mission of the NAAA is to support and advance all amateur athletes of each amateur sports through its premier all sports / life integration program, "ASPIRE" All Sports Processing Integration Reflection Education.Established in 2010, the National Wrestling Advancement Association operates as a 501(c)3 support-based organization pending official 501(c)3 status approval. The mission of the NWAA is to advance wrestlers on & off the mat through greater self-awareness into a life-long supportive network of wrestlers committed to personal formation, growth and career development.
Members of the NWAA receive support from the NWAA throughout their participation in wrestling, well into their professional careers, whether or not they continue within the field of the sport of wrestling. To this end, the NWAA is committed to developing a network of coaches, mentors, employers, friends and supporters that wrestlers of all ages and stages may have a strong supportive community as they continue to wrestle through the sport of life.
